The First Baptist Student Union, or the “1BSU” as it is often called, is First Baptist Church’s college-age and campus ministry for those in Rowan County and Morehead State University. We are following in the radical way of Jesus Christ and sending forth students for vital service to Christ through whatever career path they’ve chosen to take.

The utmost goal was for students to "develop spiritually as well as physically and mentally and to send forth Christian [students] for vital service to Christ through whatever vocation they've chosen." A former BSU director said that "This ministry [was] a testimony of the faithfulness of Kentucky Baptists, particularly those of First Baptist Church, Morehead, and some of the greatest students in the world.
